Parts of E. Main Street to be closed for repair

The State Highway Administration plans to close a section of East Main Street in Westminster tomorrow to begin the second phase of reconstructing the street.

The street will be closed from Center Street to Little George's convenience store at 250 E. Main St., although the SHA will maintain access to businesses in the section under construction.

Ron Ritz, SHA project engineer, estimated that the first section will be closed for nine weeks.

When the project is completed, East Main Street will have been rebuilt from Longwell Avenue to Washington Road, and Washington Road will have been rebuilt from Main Street to Quintal Drive.
