Suns win opener on HR in 7th, 6-5

HAGERSTOWN -- Jeff Ladd broke a tie with a bases-empty home run in the seventh inning to lead the Hagerstown Suns past Augusta, 6-5, in the season opener at Municipal Stadium last night.

Angel Ramirez went two-for-four and Jeff Patzke drove in two runs for the Suns. Ken Robinson pitched two innings of relief to earn the victory.

Hagerstown led 5-2 until Augusta scored two runs in the sixth and later tied the game on Erskine Kelley's sacrifice fly in the seventh.
