A 30-year-old courier for a Severna Park denture supply

company, charged Monday with forging a prescription from an area dentist, was released on her personal recognizance yesterday by a District Court judge.

Mary Lee Little of the 400 block of Quiet Hollow Court, Glen Burnie, was charged with one count of attempting to obtain a controlled dangerous substance by fraud, theft and misrepresentation.

She also was charged in warrants with failure to appear in court and failure to obey a court order on unrelated charges. County police Sgt. Earl Fowlkes said Ms. Little could face as many as 10 additional charges related to prescription fraud.

Police started their investigation on March 27 when a pharmacist for a Rite Aid Pharmacy in Glen Burnie reported that a woman had tried to obtain Percocet, a strong painkiller, with a forged prescription.

The woman had left the store by the time police arrived, but detectives learned the prescription had been forged on a form stolen from a local dentist. About the same time, police were called to the Valu Pharmacy in Severna Park for an identical complaint.

Police said the suspect made numerous deliveries for the denture supply company to dentists throughout Anne Arundel County. She was arrested Monday at work.

Sergeant Fowlkes said Ms. Little was charged in the incident at the Glen Burne pharmacy.
