Jamie Pollock and John Solter scored four goals each as visiting and No. 2 St. Paul's (5-0) defeated No. 14 Severn, 12-4, in a Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association lacrosse game yesterday.
The Crusaders scored four goals in the second quarter to build a 5-2 halftime advantage, then held the Admirals scoreless in the third quarter while they added three goals to increase their lead to 8-2. Tod Winchester had three goals for Severn (1-7, 0-3).

* Poly 6, City 6: Due to darkness, the championship game of the Patterson Invitational Tournament ended in a deadlock after six innings.
In the bottom of the sixth, Patterson senior David Green hit a single to score junior Gary Peoples from second to tie the score at six.
Patterson's Stefan Foster went 3-for-3, including a double and an RBI.

* Randallstown 14, Eastern Tech 4: Brandon Thomas highlighted a nine-run first inning with a two-run home run and a two-run double, leading visiting Randallstown (2-0, 2-0) past Eastern Tech (2-1, 2-1) in a Baltimore County 3A-4A League game.
* Mervo 6, Edmondson 1: Curtis Pope hit a home run and got the win as visiting Mervo (2-0) beat Edmondson (0-2), in a City League game.
