A 4-year-old Woodbine girl was struck by a car and fatally injured yesterday when she apparently darted into the street while visiting relatives in Ellicott City.
Howard County police said Kelsey Wynne, the daughter of Brian and Karen Wynne, was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital's Pediatric Trauma Center in Baltimore less than a half-hour after the accident at 6:30 p.m.
Police said the child ran from between two cars parked on the shoulder of Roundhill Road and was struck by a southbound car driven by a 22-year-old Ellicott City woman.
No charges were filed against the driver, police said.
