Man charged with burglary

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Howard County police arrested a man Tuesday on charges that he broke into a North Laurel home and two area businesses.

Robert Cathers, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary. He was being held at the Howard County Detention Center on $50,000 bond last night.

Police said they interrupted a burglary at Second Hand Andy's just after midnight Tuesday and found electronic equipment in front of the pawn shop. According to police, Mr. Cathers fled from the shop to a girlfriend's home on Whiskey Bottom Road, where he was arrested.

Police said that Mr. Cathers broke into the pawn shop, Laurel Fishing and Hunting store and a home in the first block of Midway Ave. Monday night and early Tuesday morning. He also was charged Tuesday with burglarizing the same home about a week ago, police said.
