Adelphi pulls away from Mount, 12-5

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. -- Peter Friedman made four goals and two assists to lead Adelphi (1-3) to a 12-5 lacrosse victory yesterday over Mount St. Mary's (0-5).

Adelphi, ranked second in the nation in Division II, scored the game's first three goals, one by Friedman and the other two by Bill Robertson.

The Mountaineers closed to within 3-2 early in the second quarter on goals by Nick Pilla and Jeremy Rualo, but Adelphi scored six unanswered goals over the next two periods to take command.
