POLICE LOG

* Lisbon: 16300 block of Old Frederick Road: A resident reported that a man tried to break into a home by cutting glass out of a rear door just moments after calling the residence and receiving no answer Friday. The suspect was scared off by a dog. Police said an answering machine apparently suggested to the caller that no one was home.

* Clarksville: 11500 block of Frederick Road: Tools were taken from Baltimore Masonry after someone drilled through padlocks last Thursday or Friday, police said.
