Armed man robs Texaco station

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A masked man with a handgun escaped with an undisclosed amount of money after robbing the Texaco station on Railroad Avenue, behind the Westminster Police Department building, about 6:25 p.m. Thursday.

An attendant told police that a man wearing a nylon stocking over his head approached him while he was in a storage room at the rear of the station and demanded a carton of cigarettes.

After handing him the cigarettes, the employee was forced to walk to the cashier's booth where the robber pointed a gun at a second employee and demanded money.

The bandit fled on foot after getting the money.

No one was injured, police said.
