Winter's last hurrah?

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Winter paid a last-minute visit today as snow fell in the area.

Spring is just two days away.

While accumulation was not expected to reach more than an inch in most areas, the snow did stick on some roads, making driving a bit tricky.

City road crews salted the Jones Falls Expressway, and state crews salted sections of the surrounding interstates.

Carroll County and Frederick County schools opened an hour late.

In northern Baltimore County, three cars collided on Interstate 83 near Mount Carmel Road, reportedly the result of slick road surfaces. No serious injuries were reported.

Several accidents were reported on southbound Interstate 795.

Clear skies are expected tonight with a low of 32 degrees, forecasters said.
