FIRE

* Winfield Winfield responded to a vehicle fire in the 4300 block of Old Washington Road at 12:51 a.m. Sunday. Units were out for 40 minutes.

Winfield responded to a woods fire in the 4900 block of Woodbine Road at 9:16 p.m. Saturday. Units were out for 37 minutes.

* Mount Airy: Mount Airy and Lisbon of Howard County responded for an alarm at the public library in the 700 block of Ridge Ave. at 12:44 a.m.

Sunday. There was no fire and the units remained at the scene for more than two hours waiting for an employee to arrive with a key to turn off the alarm.

Mount Airy responded to an auto fire at Routes 70 and 27 at 9:28 a.m. Saturday. Units were out for 20 minutes.

Mount Airy was dispatched to an electrical fire in the 2400 block of Woodbine Road at 8:51 a.m. Saturday. Units were out for nine minutes.
