* Town Center: 10400 block of Little Patuxent Parkway: Two cars were stolen from Columbia Mall parking lot Wednesday and the attempted thefts of two 1989 Acura Legends were thwarted when their alarms sounded. The stolen vehicles are a blue 1987 Buick Century with Maryland tags 031AGA and a red 1990 Acura Legend with Maryland tags YKZ196. Another car, a 1990 Buick LeSabre stolen there Thursday night, was recovered in Silver Spring early Friday.

5600 block of Vantage Point Road: A gray 1991 Porsche with Maryland vanity tags labeled GP was stolen Wednesday or Thursday, police said.
