POLICE LOG
* Marriottsville: A thief fled after attempting to steal a 1993 Pontiac in the 12000 block of Mettee Road on Feb. 22 or Feb. 23 when the car struck a tree at the end of the owner's driveway. Police said the owner had left the keys in the vehicle.
