Four employees of an Elkridge restaurant were rescued from a walk-in freezer by county firefighters Thursday night after being locked in by two armed robbers, Howard County police said.

Two men with a handgun entered a Pizza Hut in the 7200 block of Montgomery Road at 10:30 p.m. They took cash from the register and personal property from the workers, then locked them in the freezer. The workers pulled a fire alarm and were freed by emergency personnel.

Man allegedly posing as doctor videotaped

Howard County police used a hidden camera to videotape a visit made by a 72-year-old man who allegedly posed as a doctor and fondled a 50-year-old woman after going to her home to treat her sore knee.

Dhirendrakumar Giraharlal Kiri was charged Wednesday with two sex offenses, assault and battery. A citizen of India, Mr. Kiri was being held on $2,500 bond Friday in the Howard County Detention Center.

The woman told police she met the man at an Ellicott City church. After telling him of a knee injury, he told her he was a doctor and arranged to visit her home to give her physical therapy, police said.

The woman told police the man fondled her at her home Feb. 5 and agreed to let officers videotape his second visit Wednesday.
