* The commission appointed under an act of the legislature authorizing a new school building for Annapolis met. Some $20,000 has been appropriated, $10,000 is to be met by Annapolis. %-- The Sun, April 11, 1894.

* The past legislature has passed a bill providing for police protection at Brooklyn in Anne Arundel County. The bill provides for a chief of police at Brooklyn, who is to receive $65 a month from the county. -- The Sun, April 21, 1894.

* The grand jury of the Circuit Court of Anne Arundel County was discharged Saturday. The jurors severely criticized gambling alleged to be carried on at a disputed boundary line between Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties as well as the difficulty of getting testimony of witnesses in liquor cases, especially at Brooklyn. The Sun, April 30, 1894.
