Western Maryland senior Sue Head (Westminster) was selected to the GTE Academic All-America College Division women's basketball first team.

The national selection was made by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America committee.

Head, a 5-foot-7 guard, is a senior physical education major with a 4.0 grade-point average. She is also a Dean's List student.
