Police investigate thefts at home and restaurant

Annapolis police are investigating two unrelated thefts that occurred between Sunday night and Monday evening.

In one incident, the manager of Adams Ribs East in the 900 block of Chesapeake Ave. reported that someone stole $3,500 from a file cabinet in the back of the restaurant sometime between 11:30 p.m. Sunday and 10:10 a.m. Monday.

In the other case, a woman in the 1000 block Tallwood Road reported that someone stole a diamond ring valued at $6,800 from her jewelry box between 8:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. Monday.

Police found no signs of forced entry in either incident.
