2 nurses appointed clinical managers

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Sharon Gomez and Donna Graham have been appointed clinical managers for critical care services at Carroll County General Hospital (CCGH).

The two nurses also will oversee treatment and recovery areas being built in the hospital's East Wing.

Ms. Gomez, a graduate of Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing, was named head of CCGH's eight-bed critical care unit. She also will supervise the new six-bed surgical intensive care unit and surgical step-down unit scheduled for completion this summer.

An alumna of North Carroll High, she has worked at CCGH since 1987.

Ms. Graham, a Westminster High graduate, received her nursing certificate from Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing and her bachelor's degree from the College of Notre Dame.

Ms. Graham worked at Northwest Hospital Center for 17 years as charge nurse of a medical-surgical nursing unit, acting head nurse of the Emergency Department and an administrative nursing coordinator.

At Carroll County General, she is in charge of the 28-bed progressive care unit and four-bed cardiac catheter recovery area. Plans call for expanding her responsibilities to include a new five-bed Emergency Department holding area that will be equipped with cardiac monitors and advanced life support.
