DURHAM, N.C. -- Senior midfielder Neal Dupcak (St. Mary's) scored a career-high five goals, including the game-winner 1:26 into sudden-death overtime, as No. 13 Maryland upset No. 9 Duke, 13-12, in an Atlantic Coast Conference game yesterday.
Dupcak also sent the game into overtime, scoring with 11 seconds remaining in the fourth period.
Junior attackman Rob Chomo (St. Mary's) added four assists for the Terps (2-0, 1-0). Junior attackman Todd Harrison led Duke (2-1, 0-1) with two goals and five assists.
Duke took a 12-11 lead with 14 seconds left on a goal by sophomore attackman James Heavey.
