Businesswomen offer academic scholarships
March 18 is the deadline to apply for a scholarship from the Maryland Capital Chapter of the American Business Women's Association for the 1994-1995 academic year.
Students attending an accredited college or university who have completed 60 credit hours are eligible to apply.

YWCA sponsors essay, art contest
The YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County is sponsoring an essay and art contest for grades two through high school seniors.
Second- and third-graders should write a 50-word essay; fourth- through seventh-graders should write a 100-word plus essay; and eighth-graders and up should submit a 200-word plus essay.
Artwork may be submitted on paper, cardboard or canvas no larger than 12 inches by 18 inches.
Winning artists and essayists will receive $50 bonds and have their work displayed in YWCA headquarters in April.
Entries should be sent by April 8 to Margie Ellerson, YWCA, 1517 Ritchie Highway, Arnold 21012.

Neighborhood grants available for projects
April 15 is the deadline to apply for a grant through The Chase Manhattan Bank's Neighborhood Grants Program.
Community organizations may apply for a grant to support improvement projects that enhance their neighborhoods.
Grants are from $500 to $1,000.
