ROCK HILL, S.C. -- The Wake Forest women's basketball team used a 28-2 run late in the first half to thump Florida State, 72-57, last night in the play-in game of the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

The eighth-seeded Deacons (8-18) will play Virginia (23-3) today in the quarterfinals.

Tomorrow's semifinals will be tape-delayed on HTS, at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Monday, followed by live coverage of the championship at 5:30.
