Resident beaten, robbed on Wharf Drive

A 27-year-old man Pasadena man told county police two men beat and robbed him when he arrived home early Sunday.

William Henry Johnson III said he was attacked as he walked in the door of his house on Wharf Drive at 3:30 a.m. The men demanded his money, beat him and cut his hand, police said.

One of the men was armed with a knife and the other with an aluminum baseball bat, Mr. Johnson told the officers. He said the pair had ransacked the basement of his home before he arrived, but he did not know what was taken.

The first assailant was described as a black man in his early 20s with a thin build. He was 5 feet 8 inches tall and wore a dark hat, tan jacket and dark sweat pants. The second man was described as a black man, in his early 20s with a thin build. He wore a dark hat and light jacket and was about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 145 pounds.
