The Baltimore County Liquor Board Monday imposed a $500 fine and suspended the liquor license of Memories, a bar with dancers in the 4000 block of North Point Blvd., from March 7 to March 9 for several 1991 and 1992 violations.

The violations included serving a police cadet, lewd dancing, building a stage without board permission and bringing in a new owner without transferring the liquor license.

Straightening several entanglements involving the bar, the board also approved operator Kerry C. Canavan as the new licensee of Memories and approved the transfer to his company of a tavern-class liquor license that once belonged to the Polka Inn in the 9000 block of Pulaski Highway.

During two years in which he negotiated the purchase of Memories with a federal bankruptcy trustee, Mr. Canavan operated the business without his name on the license, a violation of the board's rules that figured into the suspension.

Because licensees are not permitted to hold two licenses at once, Mr. Canavan agreed to give up the bar's current restaurant-class liquor license.

The board also fined licensees of Norwil Liquors, a

package-goods store in the 10500 block of Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills, $100 for selling wine to a 20-year-old undercover police cadet Dec. 10.
