SHOOTING: Western District -- Two people were walking in the 1900 block of N. Pulaski St. when an argument broke out and one of them -- a 14-year-old boy -- was shot in the leg Saturday afternoon. The injured youth, who lives in the 3000 block of Virginia Ave., was relased after treatment at Liberty Medical Center.

ASSAULT: Eastern District -- A police officer responding to a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of E. Federal St. shot and slightly injured a man who allegedly knocked him down about 2:30 p.m. yesterday. Officer Arthur L. Edmondson said he heard shouting and was confronted by a man who scuffled with the officer and knocked him down the front steps. The officer said he felt threatened as the man continued to approach, drew his gun and fired. The bullet grazed the man's left forearm, but he refused hospital treatment. William H. Boatwright, 32, was charged with assaulting a police officer. Officer Edmondson was placed on administrative duties while the department investigates the incident.

RAPE: Northern District -- A woman told police she was raped at a house in the 500 block of E. 23rd St. about 6:15 a.m. yesterday by a man she had met about 15 minutes earlier at the Old Town Mall at Gay and Orleans streets. She said he forced her into the house at gunpoint.

SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A man was shot Saturday night as he drove through the 2000 block of Orleans St. in his 1991 Chevy Blazer. The victim heard a gunshot and felt a pain in his left hip. He told police he saw nothing, and there was no suspect in the incident. The victim was listed in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

LARCENY: Eastern District -- Someone broke into a car in the 700 block of E. Chase St. between midnight and 12:15 a.m. yesterday. Taken were two coats and a car stereo, with a total value estimated at $1,500.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Cigarettes and cash were taken during the weekend from the Homewood Food Market in the 700 block of E. 22nd St. The theft occurred between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. yesterday by someone who entered by cutting a hole in a rear wall. The loss was estimated at $500.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- Cash and merchandise were taken from the Panda Transport Co. in the 1100 block of N. Macon St. between 8:45 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. Saturday by someone who pried open an office door. The loss was estimated at $2,450.

BURGLARY: Eastern District -- A stereo and jewelry valued at $1,820 were stolen from a residence in the 2200 block of McElderry St. between 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Saturday by someone who forced open a rear door.

CARJACKING: Central District -- Three men, one with a handgun, forced a man out of his blue Nissan in the 200 block of E. North Ave. about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

ASSAULT: Central District -- A 47-year-old man was struck on the head with a hammer about 2 p.m. Saturday in the 900 block of W. North Ave. by a male assailant. The victim was taken by ambulance to Maryland General Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men in their 20s, one wearing a purple baseball cap and the other dressed in a brown leather coat, stole $200 from a man inside a store in the 700 block of N. Howard St. The victim was watching a movie inside a booth when the two men entered, held him down and took the money.

SHOOTING: Northwestern District -- A 26-year-old man was being sought in connection with a shooting in the 3500 block of Reisterstown Road about 3 p.m. yesterday. The victim, a 29-year-old man who lived nearby, was wounded in the buttocks. He was listed in good condition at Sinai Hospital.
