Pet deer slain with an arrow reward is offered


Harford County Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for the arrest and indictment of someone responsible for shooting a Bel Air man's pet deer with an arrow Jan. 17 about 8 p.m. on a private preserve in the 1500 block of Tollgate Road.

Entry was made by cutting through a chain-link fence and five strands of outer fence, police said.

The buck had a four-by-four rack and weighed about 150 pounds, police said. The loss was estimated at $1,700.

Wheel trim, caps stolen from Corvette

A Havre de Grace woman told police that someone had stolen the wheel trim rings and center caps on the wheel hubs from her 1977 Chevrolet Corvette sometime between Feb. 12 and Feb. 14 while it was parked in the 800 block of Lafayette St. The loss was estimated at $510.


* 1400 block of Perrywood Drive: Breaking and entering of a residence Feb. 15. Theft of money, liquor and cigarettes and damage to a door lock. The loss was estimated at $330.


* 3600 block of Torey Lane: Theft of generator, drills, saws, air gun and battery charger and damage to construction company vehicle at a work site Feb. 8. The loss was estimated at $2,180.


* 4400 block of Downery Lane: Theft of a table saw and miter from a residence Feb. 8. The loss was estimated at $378.


* 2200 block of Melrose Lane: Theft of two shotguns, a rifle, a CD player, equalizer, radar detector, boom box, speakers and CDs, and damage to a vehicle Feb. 12. The loss was estimated at $3,309.
