2 are arrested on drug charges after home raid


A Pasadena couple were arrested on drug charges Tuesday after a narcotics squad found suspected crack cocaine and marijuana and paraphernalia for packaging and selling drugs in the couple's house near Stony Creek, county police reported.

Michael Charles Fewster, 38, and Harriet Jane Fewster, 42, both of the 8600 block of Scorton Harbour, were taken into custody around 10:15 p.m. They were charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said the Eastern Tactical Narcotics Team obtained a warrant to search the house after investigating complaints that drugs were being sold from the residence.

Detectives seized drugs, nearly $300 and a 1992 Toyota Paseo, police said.

2 charged in burglary of Captain's Delight

County police arrested two men early yesterday on charges of breaking into the Captain's Delight lounge in the 8900 block of Fort Smallwood Road and stealing cartons of cigarettes.

Wesley Allen Brown, 58, of the 8200 block of Gorman Ave., Laurel, and Brian Elsworth Johnson, 29, of the 400 block of Parris Drive, Baltimore, were charged with felony breaking and entering and destruction of property, a police spokeswoman said.

Police said an corporal saw the pair leaving the Captain's Delight at 1:48 a.m. in a 1977 Cadillac. Another officer followed the car to Route 100 and tried to stop it, but the occupants jumped out and ran, police said.

Mr. Brown was arrested after a brief search of the area and Mr. Johnson was taken into custody shortly before 3 a.m. near Mountain Road and Green Forest Drive, police said.
