Watkins, a 6-foot senior, had a team-high 29 points, including four three-pointers, in pacing sixth-ranked Annapolis (14-2) to a 101-93 win over No. 9 Southern (10-4). Hitting 10 of 15 shots (67 percent) from the floor, Watkins was 4-for-4 from three-point distance and also had two steals and four rebounds.

Kris Miller, St. Mary's

Girls basketball

A 5-foot-8 junior guard, Miller hit a school-record six three-pointers and finished with 20 points as the No. 3-ranked Saints (16-2) won their 15th in a row, 90-69 over IND.


Troumaine Graves, Southern

Graves' pin in 1:02 in the 189-pound match lifted Southern (3-5) to a 36-33 win over over Annapolis (6-8) in a dual match last Monday. It was a crucial fall because the Bulldogs had to forfeit the final match in the heavyweight division.
