Tthwwwwkkk: Razzies name worst in films

THE BALTIMORE SUN

"Indecent Proposal" and "Sliver" shared top dis-honors in nominations for the 14th annual Golden Raspberry Awards, better-known as the Razzies, announced this week.

Both Paramount films received seven nominations, including worst picture, for the Academy Awards sendup that purports to recognize the year's worst achievements in film.

Other multiple nominees include "Body of Evidence" and "Last Action Hero," with six apiece, and "Cliffhanger" with four. The three films also rounded out the worst picture field.

For the first time in nearly a decade, "Cliffhanger" star Sylvester Stallone did not make the final cut for worst actor. William Baldwin in "Sliver," Willem Dafoe in "Body of Evidence," Robert Redford in "Indecent Proposal," Burt Reynolds in "Cop and a Half" and Arnold Schwarzenegger in "Last Action Hero" were deemed more deserving by balloting among more than 350 self-selected Golden Raspberry Award Foundation members in 29 states and six foreign nations.

Worst actress nominees were Melanie Griffith in "Born Yesterday," Janet Jackson in "Poetic Justice," Madonna in "Body of Evidence," Demi Moore in "Indecent Proposal" and Sharon Stone in "Sliver."

Winners will be announced March 20, the day before the Academy Awards.
