The Maryland Stadium Authority has decided to turn more than 3,200 seats in deep right field and left field so they will face the infield.
That number is much greater than the roughly 750 chairs the stadium authority said it was thinking about turning earlier this year. The move is being made after hundreds of fans complained or asked for seats that did not face the outfield.
The stadium authority, which operates the state-owned ballpark, said it will replace seats in four lower-grandstand sections tucked along the left-field line. Seats in two sections in extreme right field, pictured at right, will also be turned.
All the new seats are expected to be installed by the end of May, the stadium authority said.
