Fla. man faces weapons charge after incident at Odenton hotel

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Florida man has been charged with threatening an Odenton hotel manager with a handgun late Friday, county police reported.

Investigators said a man was locked out of his room at the Red Carpet Inn in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road at 11:42 p.m. He was kicking the door when the manager came along and said he would get the key.

When manager Steven Merry, 23, returned, the man had gotten into the room. He let Mr. Merry in the room, then pulled out a 9-mm handgun and pointed it at him, the police report said. Mr. Merry fled and called police.

Glen Alan Davis, 36, of Pensacola, Fla., was charged with the use of a handgun in the commission of a crime.
