Outlook: There are no returning starters from last year's county runner-up, so Leidlich finds herself with another cluster of sophomores ready to make major contributions. They need experience, but their strength is speed and quickness.

Outlook: Four seniors had a lot of playing time for a vastly improved team a year ago, and that, plus their quickness are the strengths for this season. Karmin Jones, Rebecca Lesesne and Sharron Wesson are after the fifth position. There is a lack of depth, and second-year coach Matt Rankin is trying to put together the right combinations.
Fallston Cougars 1992-93 record: 18-5. Coach: Nancy Ferguson.

Outlook: The four juniors are together for the third straight year (they went to the state tournament the past two), but the rest of the squad is inexperienced. Ferguson must now fine-tune the operation to get the right combinations.

Outlook: This is expected to be a rebuilding year after losing three three-year starters to graduation. The key holdovers are four-year standout Laura Thomas and three-year point guard Suzanne Akers.

Outlook: Graybeal has a good group that is responsive to what she is trying to do, and improvement is expected. Freshman Raven Reedy, a guard with excellent skills, could add to the excitement.

Outlook: Although the Hawks are experienced, James is aware they still must prove themselves, and has provided a good December schedule in which to do it. Six-foot newcomer Julie Bateman appears ready for playing time.
