Two Westminster boys were charged Friday night after allegedly firing shots into two homes on Alymer Court in Carroll Meadows, city police said.
The boys, age 17 and 16, were shooting a .22-caliber rifle into a hillside at the rear of the older youth's house on Logan Drive near Alymer Court about 8:15 p.m., police said.
Each was charged with one count of discharging a firearm within city limits, reckless endangerment and two counts of malicious destruction of property.
Although residents were at home in each of the houses, no one was injured in the incident, police said.
Names of the boys were not released because both are juveniles.

A resident of Sycamore Street reported to police someone entered her building Thursday and escaped with articles valued at $2,040.
Someone entered a building on Charles Street and removed items valued at $50 on Thursday.
Side windows were broken on the car of a Liberty Street resident Thursday while it was parked near the owner's home. Damage was estimated at $300.
Someone scratched the side of a car parked on East Main Street on Thursday. The owner estimated damage at $200.
A Union Bridge woman told city police that someone entered her parked car and stole articles valued at $290 at Cranberry Mall on Wednesday.
