2 youths robbed of their bikes in Odenton

Two youths were robbed of their bicycles Friday and a third told county police that two teen-agers tried to take money from him as he played in front of an Odenton home Friday.

Police do not know if the robberies, all in the Odenton area between 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., are related.

At 6 p.m., an 11-year-old boy was riding his bicycle on WB&A; Boulevard near Maple Tree Road when four teen-agers walked up to him and asked him if he knew a girl who went to school with him. When the boy said yes, one of the teen-agers took his bicycle and rode down Maple Tree Road.

Another 11-year-old boy was in the 3400 block of Old Annapolis Road at 4:50 p.m. when a teen-ager walked up to him and said he was going to take the bike for a ride. When the youth refused, the teen-ager pulled him off the bicycle and rode toward Drexel Park apartments, the police report said.

At 6:30 p.m., a 13-year-old boy was playing with friends in the 7800 block of Elberta Drive when two teen-agers walked up to him and demanded money. When the boy said he didn't have any, the teen-agers walked away, police said.
