The 8-10 Fallston Cougars, led by quarterback Justin Van Pelt, overcame two six-point deficits to beat Reisterstown last weekend, 24-19, in Harford/Baltimore Football League action.
Dave Gonano got Fallston's first score, punching one in from close range. He set up the score with a 90-yard run.
Reisterstown went up 12-6 on the next drive, but the Cougars countered with a 25-yard run by Steve Bandzwolek to tie the game in the second quarter.
At the end of the half, Gonano caught an interception at the Reisterstown 40-yard line and ran it in for a score to put the Cougars up, 18-12.
In the second half, an interception by Jeff Lagnese set up a 15-yard run up the middle for Steve Shaw to give the Cougars a 24-12 lead.
Reisterstown scored again and was rallying late in the fourth until Fallston's Chris Baker picked off an errant pass.
On Wednesday night, the Cougars scored another win over Lutherville/Timonium. Quarterback Jeff Scher scrambled for yardage all night and handed off to Paul Dunn and Chris Baker for two of Fallston's five touchdowns. Van Pelt, Gonano and Shaw also scored.
Nose tackle Nathan Pfouts and inside linebacker Russell Williams helped on defense, dragging down Lutherville's quarterback several times each. Nose guard P. J. Brennan also was a menace in the backfield to help Fallston improve to 6-2.

Boys soccer * Under-13 -- The Greater Harford Soccer Club Scorpions improved to 4-0-2 in Baltimore Beltway League action with a 2-0 victory over the Soccer Club of Baltimore Magic and a 6-0 win over the Baltimore North Stars.
In the win over the Magic, Eric Syphard scored two second-half goals, with Adam Meissner providing the lone assist and keeper Aaron Sherwood recording nine saves.
The scoring was spread out in the win over the North Stars, as Meissner, Jimmy Kopp, Derrick Snyder, Tim Bowman, Jason Kemper and Sherwood had goals.
Keepers Sherwood and Kopp each recorded a save. Action was limited thanks to defensive help from Chris Porter, Brian Dempsey, Jordan Green, Eric Heisey, Tony Joynes, Mike Coughlin and Nat Goulden.
* Under-12 -- The Forest Hill Force (3-0-3) beat the GHSC $H6Rockets, 4-1, in Harford County Travel League action.
Force goals were scored by left wing Steven Markiewicz (two) on moves to the center of the field, and center halfback Danny Martin, who scored twice on shots from the outside.
Left halfback Brian Kretzschmar had two assists for Forest Hill.
The Harford Kicks tied the Hickory Lazers, 1-1, in Harford County Sunday League action at Churchville Recreation Complex.
After trailing 1-0 early, the Kicks tied the Lazers on a goal at the beginning of the second half by Brad Glascock. Kicks goalie Matt Todd recorded nine saves.
The Greater Harford Soccer Club Lightning shut out the Harford Kicks, 3-0, in Baltimore County A Division soccer on Saturday.
Defenders Matt Bland, Patrick Bukovsky and Ben Stutzer aided Lightning keeper Bradley Bonovich in the shutout victory.
Goals were scored by Jonathan Borozzi, assisted by Johnny Meise, Eric Yankolonis, assisted by Stutzer and Justin Haynes, assisted by Kevin Ruzek.
Joppatowne improved to 6-0 with a 4-0 win over Jarrettsville Blue in county league action.
Brian Kretzschmar led the way with two goals. Tim Dean had a goal and an assist and Chris Brown also scored. Kevin Wright had an assist.
The Joppatowne defense kept Jarrettsville in check with keepers Jesse Strevig and Steve Janis recording eight saves.
Under-10 -- The Joppatowne Sockers beat Jarrettsville Blue, 7-0, to stay undefeated in Harford County Saturday League action.
Goals were scored by Jonathan Lang and Nick Burns (two each), Lisa Kenney, Grant Bernstein and Michael Watto with one apiece.
Assists were provided by Lang, Bernstein and Kenney. Goalie Justin Holbrook had four saves.
Last Sunday, the Sockers (6-0) defeated Belcamp, 7-0. Bernstein scored twice and Ryan Turn, Mike Kenney, Jamie Ramono, Matt Ballard and Lang also scored.
Assists were provided by Kenney, Greg Gordon and Ballard.
Goals by Chris Schneider and Sean McAvoy, assisted by Brian Kemper and Jeff Kocher led the GHSC Strikers to a 2-1 win over
Cockeysville R.C. in Baltimore Beltway action.
Keeper Chris Smith anchored the defense, supported by Matt Wood, Robby Singer, Brandon Lijewski and Cory Belchoz.
Girls soccer * Under-10 -- Joppatowne (5-2) defeated Hickory, 6-0, last Saturday. Goals scored by Collen Kretzschmar (three), Natalie Terzigni (two) and Nichole Miller powered the team to victory.
Terzigni also had an assist. Contributing in the victory were Erin Ard, Lindsay Bares, Icshia Brown, Heather DiBlasi, Lauren Davis, Jennifer Denicola, Lauren Helmey, Sarah Holler, Beth Hulbert and Bree Allen.
* Under-12 -- The Emmorton Lazers (6-0-1) defeated host Rosedale I, 10-2. April Madden scored five times while forward Shelly Reft scored four times. Halfback Nicole Neubauer scored the other goal for the Lazers and assisted on four other goals.
Also with assists were Erica Korecky and Jessica Fruhling (two), Kim Siegel and Nichole Childs.
Defense was anchored by fullbacks Rebecca Roberts and Lauren Drexel. Lindsay Bugda recorded nine saves for the Lazers.
