Police arrest 3 men suspected in break-ins at homes, offices


Anne Arundel County police have arrested three men they pTC said were a "loosely organized" burglary ring allegedly responsible for about 23 break-ins in the Glen Burnie area since the beginning of the year.

Gary N. Thomas, 27, of the 400 block of Third Ave. in Glen Burnie was arrested Sunday after police responded to a burglar alarm at a Linthicum home. He was charged with five counts of burglary and released after he posted a $1,000 bond, authorities said.

Police arrested George B. Truitt, 23, of the 100 block of Fourth Ave. in Glen Burnie Monday, and Jay R. Hudson, 27, of the first block of Fourth Ave. in Glen Burnie. Both were charged with two counts of burglary and released after signing a $3,500 signature bond.

Investigators believe the alleged ring broke into homes and offices in the southwest Glen Burnie area and stole office supplies, money and jewelry, police said.


* Glen Burnie: Burglars stole equipment valued at $5,500 from a trailer and a store under construction in the 500 block of Ordnance Road over the weekend.
