40 bands play in state competition Proceeds to benefit Rotary club, WBAL

Drawing a crowd of about 8,000 people, 40 high school bands competed Saturday for recognition in the state's eighth annual band championships.

Proceeds from the event, held at Towson State University's Minnegan Stadium, will benefit the Rotary Club of Towson Service Fund and WBAL Radio 11 Kids Campaign.
