* The National Association of Home Builders will present the first National Sales and Marketing Awards during its convention Jan. 22 in Las Vegas.
The program will honor the nation's best new home advertising, graphics, brochures, signage, interior merchandising, landscape and sales office design, as well as the top new home salespeople and sales and marketing managers.
Any residential real estate development open for sale or rent between Oct. 1, 1992 and Nov. 5, 1993 is eligible. Awards for sales and marketing professionals will cover the period between Oct. 1, 1992 and Sept. 30, 1993.
Entry deadline is Nov. 5. Entry forms can be obtained by calling (800) 368-5242.
* The Howard County Real Estate Masters Club has established a Housing Trust Fund to increase home ownership among low- to moderate-income families in Howard County.
The trust fund will provide down payments, help with closing costs and buy down mortgage interest rates when necessary. Money repaid by families assisted by the trust will be used to continue the program.
* Papier Interiors Inc. and Design Group in Timonium won a design contract with Landmark Homes for a model home in the Cobblestone community in Owings Mills.
* The Greater Baltimore Board of Realtors installed the following officers: president, Nancy C. Hubble of W.H.C. Wilson & Co.; president-elect, David W. Baird IV of Belt's Realty Services; vice president, C. Douglas Rittenhouse of Century 21/C.C. Rittenhouse; treasurer, Barbara J. Nock of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn.
The organization also gave a Realtor Lifetime Achievement Award to Carlton R. Insley Jr., and named Maureen Flynn, sales associate with the Timonium office of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn, 1992 Distinguished Realtor Associate.
