Some 700 Muslim detainees were released from a Bosnian Croat camp at GABELA at the start of one of the biggest exchanges of prisoners in the Bosnian conflict. Bosnian government forces freed some 300 Croats from a detention camp in the Muslim stronghold of KONJIC.

The evacuation of seriously wounded and sick people from SARAJEVO resumed after a break of more than two weeks.

Serbs fired 40 artillery rounds at Bosnian-held Zuc Hill overlooking SARAJEVO and there was scattered sniping, but the capital was relatively quiet after a weekend of heavy shelling. Monday, the United States renewed warnings of possible NATO air strikes against Serb forces besieging Sarajevo.
