College administrator named to state panel

Dr. Diane. K. Troyer, vice president of academic affairs and student services at Harford Community College, was appointed

recently to the Maryland Higher Education Commission's Student Transfer Advisory Committee.

Ms. Troyer, chief academic officer of Harford Community College, provides the academic and administrative leadership required to achieve excellence in instruction, academic programs, and services. She is responsible for curriculum, instruction and student services.

Paramedic to direct college EMT program

Robert M. Henderson of White Hall has been named coordinator of the Emergency Medical Technology (EMT) program at Essex Community College.

Mr. Henderson, formerly program coordinator of a similar program at Baltimore City Community College, received his paramedic training at Essex.

Bank executive to help prevent child abuse

Philip G. Wohlfort, regional vice president for Maryland National Bank and a 1980 graduate of Towson State University, has joined the Child Abuse Prevention Center of Maryland.

The center tries to replace abusive behavior with effective skills for nonviolent parenting.
