Low bid for 6 St. Paul St. work
A Bethesda contracting company is the apparent low bidder for a contract to finish the interior of the state's office building at 6 St. Paul St. in Baltimore, the state Department of General Services said yesterday.
A. S. McGaughan Co. Inc. bid $5.27 million for the job, well below the $9 million that department officials had publicly estimated the work might cost. The lower price may mean the state has money available to continue to buy office space.
