Mount Hebron wins, 1-0, on goal by Uyol

Janice Uyol's goal 18 minutes into the second half gave Mount Hebron a 1-0 victory over visiting Oakland Mills yesterday in a Howard County League field hockey game.

Jennifer Brooks had five saves in goal for Mount Hebron (3-4, 1-1) to out-duel Kelly Nailer, who had 11 saves for Oakland Mills (0-4-1, 0-1-1).

* Bryn Mawr 2, Garrison Forest 0: No. 5 Bryn Mawr (6-0-1, 3-0-1) scored two first-half goals to defeat host Garrison Forest (1-1-1, 1-1-1) in an Association of Independent Schools League A Division game.

* Friends 4, St. Paul's 0: No. 6 Friends (4-1, 1-1) used four second-half goals to beat host St. Paul's (0-2, 1-4) in an AIS A Division game.

* Westminster 2, Frederick 0: Jen Markowitz scored one goal and added one assist to lead No. 7 Westminster past visiting Frederick in a non-league game.

* McDonogh 2, Gilman 0: David Koloski and Kevin Cummings each scored one goal to help McDonogh (4-6, 3-5) shut out Gilman in an MSA A Conference Division I contest.

* Severn 3, St. Mary's 1: Chris Fuller scored two goals to lead Severn past St. Mary's in an MSA Armstrong A Conference Division II game.

* Boys' Latin 5, Loyola 0: Jason Quenzer scored two goals to lead Boys' Latin (7-4, 3-4) past host Loyola in an MSA Armstrong A Division I game. Chris Turner also scored twice.
