Mediation center seeks donations

The Mediation and Conflict Resolution Center at Howard Community College is seeking contributions to the Dollar or More campaign during its first annual weekend Oct. 15-17.

Donations may be dropped off at all branches of Maryland National Bank during banking hours on Oct. 15 and 16; at any county fire station from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 16; and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 17 at the Maryland National Bank in The Mall in Columbia.

They may also be taken to the HCC cashier's office in the library building.

Donations will be used to support the center and provide partial scholarships for center courses. They will also help the center to establish a peer mediation and conflict resolution training academy, providing mediation for community disputes, and to provide resource information.

The center has a speakers bureau available.

Checks may be made payable to HCC/MCRC and mailed to Howard Community College Business Office, 10740 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia 21044.

Information: 992-4855.
