New Jersey Nets -- Matched the offer sheet that C Dwayne Schintzius received from the Milwaukee Bucks. The Nets said Schintzius will earn $825,000 this season, $1.2 million next season and $1.6 million the following year. The contract also has incentives that could earn the fourth-year player $950,000 over the length of the deal.
Phoenix Suns -- Reached agreement with unrestricted free-agent F Rod Higgins.

Arizona -- Suspended starting CB Claudius Wright for the Oct. 16 game against Stanford after his arrest last weekend by campus police on charges of carrying a concealed weapon.
