Teen charged in beating of policeman's son
A 16-year-old Annapolis youth is being held on $50,000 bond, on charges that he assaulted the son of a city policeman, a police spokesman said yesterday.
Micheen Keith Holland, of the 2000 block of Bay Ridge Ave., was charged as an adult with assault and battery Monday.
The 15-year-old son of an Annapolis police officer was grabbed about 8:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at the corner of Victor Parkway and Cypress Road, hit in the head and -- after he had fallen down -- kicked by several assailants. One told him that he was being beaten to exact revenge on his father for a previous arrest.
His assailants ran away after neighbors heard the scuffle and came into their yards. The young man was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center and treated for injuries to his left eye and legs.
