Western Maryland falls short, 29-27, at Muhlenberg

ALLENTOWN, Pa.-- Sean McCullough completed 17 of 28 passes for 284 yards to propel Muhlenberg past Western Maryland, 29-27, in a Centennial Conference game yesterday.

On the first play after Western Maryland had pulled within 22-20, McCullough hit Rob Lokerson with a short pass that Lokerson turned into a 70-yard touchdown with 3:12 left in the third quarter.

The Green Terrors (1-3, 0-3) rallied again with a 24-yard touchdown pass from sophomore Brian Van Deusen (Atholton) to Alan Pietkiewicz with 32 seconds left in the third period, but Dung Dinh's 44-yard field goal attempt went wide left midway through the final quarter.
