Pool filter and liner damaged in Edgewood

An Edgewood woman told sheriff's deputies that someone damaged the pool filter and liner at her home in the 200 block of Kennard Ave.

The damage was estimated at $2,000.

Equipment stolen from construction firm

Owners of a Fallston steel construction firm reported to sheriff's deputies that someone broke into their business in the 2800 block of Bel Air Road on Sept. 13 and stole a laser aligner.

The loss was valued at $7,900.

Frozen bull semen stolen during break-in

Someone broke into a barn in Havre de Grace on Sept. 10 and stole a tank containing 82 vials of bull semen preserved in liquid nitrogen that police say could cause serious burns if opened.

Police say the gas preserves the semen at 320 degrees below freezing.

The owner of the barn in the 2000 block of Level Road said thieves damaged a screen door in the break-in and also took a printer, chain saw and various tools.

The loss was $2,780.

Jewelry worth $19,500 stolen in Churchville

A Churchville woman reported to sheriff's deputies that upon returning home, she discovered someone had broken into her home in the first block of Asbury Road on Sept. 9.

Jewelry valued at $19,500 was stolen.

Car stolen, damaged in traffic accident

An Edgewood woman reported to sheriff's deputies that someone stole her 1983 Oldsmobile from a parking lot outside her home in the 2300 block of Hanson Road on Sept. 6.

The vehicle was recovered later after it was involved in a traffic accident.

The damage was valued at $1,500.

The investigation continues.

Crime Solvers offers reward in jewelry theft

The Harford County Crime Solvers program is offering a reward up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of someone responsible for entering an apartment Sept. 13 about 3 a.m. in the 1800 block of Edgewater Drive in Edgewood.

Police said a diamond engagement ring, a ladies' diamond ring with gold band and $20 were stolen. The loss was valued at $520.

Coin changer damaged, cash stolen at carwash

The owner of a Havre de Grace carwash in the 1000 block of Otsego Street reported that someone broke into the coin changer at his business sometime during the night of Sept. 15.

An unknown amount of money was stolen and the machine was damaged.

Damage was set at $3,200.
