FIRE
* Sykesville: The Emergency Operations Center for Carroll County received four fire calls between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, all in the southeast section of the county.
The first call was received at 8:31 a.m. for a fire alarm sounding in a building on Bartholow Road. Engines from Sykesville and Winfield were dispatched and returned to service in 15 minutes.
At 9:50 a.m. Gamber, Reese and Sykesville responded to a house fire on Sykesville Road. Units were out for 25 minutes.
Sykesville and Mount Airy assisted Howard County for a fire alarm sounding in a building on Millers Mill Road at 3:07 p.m. They were out for 15 minutes.
Gamber responded to the last of the four calls to investigate an alarm sounding in a building on Holliday Lane at 4:23 p.m. They were out for 25 minutes.
