Palestinians stage attacks in Gaza Strip
Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip staged two attacks on Israelis today, with one blowing himself up in a police station and another trying to stab a soldier before being shot to death.
The deaths were the first since the PLO and Israel signed a peace accord in Washington yesterday.
In the West Bank town of Ramallah, an Israeli soldier was injured in the head when Arabs hurled stones at an Israeli telephone company building, the military command said. It said soldiers responded with fire and started to search the area.
In an apparent suicide attack in Gaza City, an Arab man blew himself up when the electric gate of the police station opened to let out a car, an army official said. The attacker was killed and was the only casualty.
