Eldersburg man, 20, injured after car veers into Piney Run
A 20-year-old Eldersburg man, who was pulled unconscious from the waters of Piney Run following a traffic accident late Wednesday night, was released from Shock Trauma in Baltimore yesterday morning.
Jacob Glen Hundertmark, of the 5800 block of Dale Drive, had crossed a double yellow line in an attempt to pass six slower vehicles on Marriottsville Road No. 2 when he lost control about 11:30 p.m. and veered off the road and into the water, state police said.
Two passengers -- identified as Phillip C. Thomas, 21, of Marriottsville, and Chris Ross Weidel, 21, of Eldersburg -- were not injured, state police said.
Police said the injured man was flown to the trauma center by MedEvac helicopter.
F: The accident remains under investigation, police said.
