* Baltimore Hebrew University appointed Norma Fields Furst president. Dr. Furst has served as interim president since last August.
* Baltimore Stationery has appointed Jackie Strasser as a sales representative in the Rockville office. She was formerly with the Stott Office Furniture Co. and will be responsible for developing new business and servicing accounts. The firm also promoted Greg Kroneberger to senior vice president of the office products division.
* Boswell Building Surveys Inc. named Michael D. Pachino to the position of inspector of residential and commercial properties. Mr. Pachino, an architect with nearly a decade of experience, was most recently a project architect with Hord, Coplan and Macht Inc. He is a graduate of Tulane University.
* Catholic Relief Services, the international aid and development arm of the Roman Catholic bishops of the United States, named Kenneth F. Hackett executive director.
* CollegBound Foundation Inc., an independent endowment fund created to help Baltimore high school students attend college, named Mary Thompson program manager. Ms. Thompson was formerly assistant dean and director of the engineering minority programs office at Cornell University.
* Delsey Luggage Inc., located in Jessup, has appointed Maria T. Nicastro to the position of sales and marketing coordinator and Douglas S. Jordan director of logistics. He will be responsible for master planning, warehouse operations, transportation and after-sales service.
* Leslie J. Polt, a partner in the Baltimore law firm of Smith, Somerville & Case, has been elected chairman of the Section of Business Law of the Maryland State Bar Association.
* L & L Supply Corp., a Lutherville-based brick distributor, appointed Ken Mistovich executive vice president. * Katz, Abosch, Windesheim, Gershman & Frederick P.A., a Baltimore-based certified public accounting and management consulting firm, named Elizabeth T. Hymel, CPA, to manager level. A member of the tax department, she joined the firm in 1986 and works in the Towson office.
* Tydings & Rosenberg, a Baltimore business and litigation firm, named Tom Parkinson Jr., CPA, financial controller. Prior to joining the firm he was president and chief operating officer of Southwest Printing Co.

* Weight Watchers of the Mid-South has selected Cornerstone, a Baltimore advertising, public relations and design agency, to manage its marketing and advertising program. The Memphis-based franchise comprises the Chattanooga and Jackson areas of Tenn., as well as Jonesboro, Ark.
* First National Bank named Beth Wexler a vice president in the corporate trust division. She has managed the corporate trust administration for the last five years.
* American Properties Inc., a full service real estate development firm with offices in Columbia and Ellicott City, announced that Tricia Mancuso has been promoted to the position of administrative director of the firm's New Homes Division. * Gov. William Donald Schaefer appointed the following new members to the Board of Trustees of Baltimore City Community College: Barbara B. Hill , president of Prudential Health Care Plan of the Mid-Atlantic; Roger I. Lyons, president of the Baltimore Urban League and Bishop L. Robinson , secretary of the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. Also new to the board is George M. R. Reason Jr., a Disabled Veterans Outreach Program Specialist at the Maryland Department of Economic and Employment Development.
